Phil Jones the Didgerdoo Man from Australia came to
visit.
He provided these two affirmations:
"Yes,
I accept the unconditional love, creating energy, and prosperity, of Divine
Mother, into my heart, moving through me now and at all times."
"I dedicate myself to the fulfillment of self realization of my own divine
self in the unconditional love of the divine Mother/Father God."
And he gave lessons on the didgerdoo:

Gloria & Beth led us as we focused on the Christmas
story as told in 6 passages from the Gospel of Luke and the use of Jungian
Dream Interpretation.
STORY 1:
Our dream begins with an elderly priest, Zechariah. The angel Gabriel, visits
Zechariah to tell him that Elizabeth, Zechariah’s wife, will give birth
to a son. Zechariah expresses profound doubt and disbelief. He and his wife
are both “stricken with age”, and Elizabeth is thought to be barren.
Gabriel assures him that it is true, saying: “I am Gabriel, that stand
in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to show thee these
glad tidings. And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until
the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my
words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.” And sure enough, Zechariah
cannot speak again for 9 months.
STORY
2:
In the sixth month of Elizabeth ’s pregnancy, the angel Gabriel pays
another visit… This time to Mary, a cousin of Elizabeth . Now, Mary
is NOT “stricken with age”. In fact, she’s a young girl,
the virgin-bride of Joseph. Gabriel announces she will give birth to a boy
to be called Jesus, the Son of God, who will inherit the throne of David…
Mary now goes to visit the pregnant Elizabeth . When Elizabeth ’s baby
hears Mary’s voice, he leaps for joy. Elizabeth blesses her and her
baby, and Mary responds: “My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit
hath rejoiced in God my saviour…” Mary stays with Elizabeth until
Elizabeth bears her child. Zechariah’s speech is restored even as he
is writing on a tablet that the child should be named John. A divinely inspired
proclamation gushes from his lips that his son, John, will be a great prophet
who will prepare a way for the Lord.
STORY
3:
The Roman Emperor now decides to compile a census of all people under his
rule, and everyone has to return to their ancestral homes to be registered.
Though Mary is great with child, she and Joseph must travel to Bethlehem .
As there are no rooms available, they must be accommodated in a stable. It
is here in a barn that she gives birth to Jesus.
STORY
4:
Nearby, there are shepherds in the hills who look up suddenly to face angels.
The angels tell them of an infant king born in a manger, and generally put
on quite a show for the shepherds. The angels then disappear.
The shepherds now make their way to the stable, reporting along the way what
the angels had sung. After seeing the baby, the shepherds then return to tending
their sheep.
STORY
5:
Next, there arrives from the East ( Persia , Babylonia perhaps?) the Magi…
Though we’re not truly certain of number, there seems to be three…
They are very knowledgable, and have read ancient books, books that prophecy
of a Messiah. They have been following a foretold star, the Star of Bethlehem,
and arrive in Jerusalem after their long journey. They go first to the King
– King Herod – to ask where to find the infant King of the Jews.
“Where is the child who has been born king of the Jews? For we observed
his star at its rising, and have come to pay him homage.”
Herod, the King, hides his fear. He consults with his advisors, then tells
the Magi: "Go and search diligently for the child; and when you have
found him, bring me word so that I may also go and pay him homage,"
STORY
6:
They continue to follow the star, which guides them to Bethlehem , and the
manger. There, the Magi find the infant Jesus and present him with gifts.
Warned via individual dreams not to return to Herod, they head home a different
route. An angel appears to Joseph, and Mary informing them of Herod’s
intentions to find their child and eliminate the threat he poses, and the
family departs for safety in Egypt , remaining there until the death of Herod.
Using
the introductory statement:
"If it were my dream I would
focus on . . ." we drew upon the personal experiences of the group to
see the stories' circumstances through our individual eyes and and in the
eyes of a community not bound by the limitations of traditional interpretation.
Songs sung by Nick were the Christian Navitity Song,
"Mary Did You Know?"
by Mark Lowry and
the
song by Yusuf Islam (formerly Cat Stevens), "Maybe There's A World."

A
Day of Gratitude: "Looking Forward, Looking Back."
Nick gave an invitation to create awareness for what we are and for what we
are not grateful. This was followed by small group discussion and group drawings
of gratitude.
Several
folks noted things for which they as individuals were grateful, and several
folks got to talk to each other that otherwise might not. How does it get
better than that? Gloria noted that at times we have to make things small
for other people to see that for which we are grateful. Nick stated he could
see that not being grateful is a limit, and also that being grateful could
be a limit if it became an anchor to the past and prevented one from exploring
what else is possible in the present.

A PDF file summation of the discussion
Shiloh
Parresol, ordained Religious Science minister from North Caroline came to
visit and spoke about receiving. Nick played a new song, "Holding Back
the Sea" and "All I Want is Peace."
1/28
"There's Always a Way" The Basics Part 3 by Paul Gonyea
.
We had a 'perfect'
service! We started back in on the Foundations of Religious Science series,
listening to the 3rd of 4 talks from the Rev. Paul Gonyea. Continuing with
Gloria's "Active Listening" approach, there were tables set up with
modeling clay, crayons, colored pens and other assorted goodies. Celebrants
(of the Sunday Celebration) were invited to play while they listened to the
talk. The synopsis of the talk:
Infi nite possibility is not an intellectual theory; it is the way the world
works. Anything that Mind can believe, it can achieve. There is
always a way to heal, to change and to prosper. Nothing is fi xed;
we live in a plastic universe. Life is always ready to become for us
whatever we believe it can become.
(quote
taken from http://slc-atlanta.org/newsletters/0601.pdf)
Nick played "In My Life," and a new song, "It's A Perfect World."
2/4
"The World On a String" The
Basic Part 4 by Paul Gonyea
"I do not create my world; God does. But It does so with my direction.
Consciously or unconsciously, I tell the Universe what I want. And the Universe
makes it so. I choose and direct; God accepts and responds. For better or
for worse, I am living the life I have chosen. And I will continue to live
the life I choose."
(quote taken from http://slc-atlanta.org/newsletters/0601.pdf)
The
Rolling Tones sang Nick's songs "Ain't No Telling How Long" and
"As I Watch The Clouds Roll By"
2/11 "Create a Better Problem," by Paul Gonyea. Comments on Paul's talk from mrmbers of the church in a .pdf file.
Special music was "The Light Will Use The Darkness To Shine" by Nick Boulet and performed with Michele Williams. The song of gratitude was "Every Thought in My Mind," by Nick Boulet.
2/18 "Harmonica Balance" by Trey Wright. Trey's talk discussed his journey in buying a house in a perhaps dubious neighbor and his persistent use of affirmation to create his environment as safe. He also used the metaphor of playing a harmonica ("the creation of multiple notes requires the same effort as the creation of a single note) to draw attention that the mastery of multiple areas of a person's life requires the same effort as the mastery of one area. Our comments about Trey's talk in a .pdf file Nick Boulet and Hurricane Dennis played Nick's songs, "Imagine a Lifetime," and "Kindness."
3/25 Spirituality and Peace is the name of this Paul Gonyea talk to which we listened first presented February 4th at the Spiritual Learning Center of Atlanta. Says Paul, "Peace is God's greatest gift. Peace of mind is the greatest gift of Spirit to the individual, and peace between God's creatures is the greatest gift of Spirit to the world. There is never a good reason for people to be at war, because war is God against God which is absurd."
The Rolling Tones performed original compostions by Nick Boulet, "Don't You Ever Tell Me Never," and "Soar."
4/1 Spirituality and Economics is the name of this Paul Gonyea talk to which we listened first presented February 11th at the Spiritual Learning Center of Atlanta. Says Paul, "The Universe is an abundant place. We are meant to exchange value because that is one way the spirit flows. Money is not evil, it is God in action. The misuse of properity occurs when we do not share. There is plenty to go around, so sharing is simply the acknowledgement that abundance is everywhere."
Nick played "If You Want To Sing Out," by Cat Stevens and Hurricane Dennis joined Nick on "Glide."
4/8 Trey Wright spoke on "Just Use Your Imagination, " using his comfortable humour to make his point about using the power of the mind to attract and create what you choose in your life.
Don't be afraid to try the new thing whatever it is.
Quote, "If you do not have to do something perfectly, our options widen."
This talk was video taped by Beth Free
Music:"Fill
Up My Life" & "Everywhere I Go," songs by Nick Boulet
and performed with Michele Williams & John Brosius.
4/15 Spirituality and Education by Paul Gonyea Says Paul, "We have all been given these amazing minds in order to use them to think. Intelligent information is readily available to us, but we have to learn how to think in order to use it wisely. Just because we think of something does not mean it is a good idea. As we share our knowledge, collective wisdom grows."
Music: Nick Boulet led the congregation in singing Harry Chapin's "Circle." Also, "Winds of Change" by Nick Boulet was performed by The Rolling Tones.
4/22
Happiness is
Free was presented by Ann Kozy from Nashville.
Ann's bio is here.
She presented a simple technique to easily
apply throughout your day whenever anything is stressing you in order to bring
you back to happiness. Remember that God only wants you to be happy –
and when you are – your True Self naturally emerges to do anything that
lies before you with ease and grace.
Music:
Superheroes by Hurricane Dennis was perfromed with Michele Williams &
Beth Free.
The trio also performed "Put a Little Love in Your Heart" by Jackie
Deshannon. There is YouTube file of Jackie's song below.
4/29 "No Regrets" by Paul Gonyea. Says Paul, "There is no benefit in wasting a moment of my time in regret over anything I did or did not do in the past. If I did something that caused me pain, it is a valuable lesson I will not repeat. If I failed to do something that would have benefited me greatly, next time I won't miss the opportunity. I create the future out of my present; I give the past no more than a passing glance."
Music: Nick Boulet's songs, "Who Am I?" performed with Hurricane Dennnis, and "In My Life" performed by The Rolling Tones.
5/6 The Woodys message was "The Answer Is In The Prayer."
Music:"By the Grace of God I am Free," "The Answer is Always in The Prayer," "Wine Into Water" & "Circle of Angels" performed by the Woodys.
5/13 Peace Through The Eyes of a Child by Paul Gonyea was the talk this week. Says Paul, "To create peace, I need only see the world with the eyes of a child. I do not embrace conflict or hatred. I see a world of laughter and play, and I am safe from harm. I am not angry at anyone, and I have no resentment towards my past. I accept people at face value. I see this at the spiritual level, knowing that my thoughts create my experience."
Music-new songs by Nick Boulet: "Buried Alive" and "Bring The Light."
5/20

We
listened to Paul Gonyea's "No Regrets."
Says Paul, "Life does not need to be a struggle, so I have decided
to stop trying to make it into one. I can make my life easy or hard. I can
make it happy or sad, rich or poor, painful or joyful. I look for opportunities
to play, to laugh, to relax, and to rest.
Work
has its place and I will not allow to move into my play time. I deserve
a life of ease and I claim it now."
Music: Nick led the us in "Riding on the Wings of Freedom" and
he performed "Now," both original compositions.
6/3
Paul
Gonyea's talk, "Living in a House of Cards."
Says Paul, "I build my life on a solid foundation of spiritual awareness,
loving kindness, and common sense. I do not give power to the illusion of
lack and limitation. I work with the Law of Mind instead of trying to find
a way around it. The structure of life is built one brick at a time using
solid materials, mental discipline, and honest self-awareness. It cannot
and will not fall down."
Music
"What Will Happen Today?" & "Bring
the Light" by Nick Boulet with Michele Williams.

6/17 We listened to "The Love of Laughter" by Joyce Rennolds presented at the Spiritual Learning Center in Atlanta. Says Joyce: My sense of humour is one of my most important spiritiual assets. Laughter feeds my soul; it clears my mind and lightens my load. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I always have time for a good joke. And if I can't laugh at myself, I don't know how to laugh.

The world is made for lovers, and I intend to be one of the best."

I no longer tell stories about me as a victim, or about me as a person who has bad health, no money, or a job I dislike. Music:
"Who Am I?" & "Glide" by Nick Boulet.
11/11 Paul's talk was called, "The Poetry of Life." Says Paul, "The beauty of life can be expressed in many different ways. The great masters who spoke in words of beauty and grace were sending me a gift across the centuries. I open my heart and mind to words of wisdom that touch my soul. There are powerful images that open my mind and heart, and I am grateful to those who received those images from Spirit and passed them on."
Music: "Doubtless" by Nick Boulet
11/18 Cliff Rubin is the former director of music at the Center for Creative Living in Ashville. His talk was called "Guitar Lessons." Cliff played many songs for us.
Review of Cliff Rubin's Music:
Sound Connections Jan. '07 issue
“Cliff Rubin's performances have the power to incite the spirit of
love…People are touched, changed and inspired in his concerts and
take home with them the feeling that they are capable of more love, hope
and joy then they ever allowed themselves to know."
"Love
is Knowing You," "Nightly
Prayer," and "Divine Guidance" by Cliff
Rubin
11/25 "Where There's a Will, There's A Way" was the name of Paul's talk. Says Paul, " I do not have to figure out 'God's will' for me. God does not care about how I live, but it does support me in living well. When I make choices that complicate or obstruct my ability to enjoy life, Spirit does not correct me. It simply waits until I come to my senses, and then it is right where it needs to be.
Music: "Imagine a Lifetime" & "On de Boat" by Nick Boulet
12/2 "The
World's Biggest Costume Party"
is the name of Paul's talk. Says Paul, "Life responds to me more beautifully
when I am authentic. When I try to be someone I am not, or when I refuse
to recognize how beautiful and powerful I am, my own self-deception keeps
me from moving forward. The best costume I can ever wear is the clothing
of the Spirit disguised as me."
Music: "Winds of Change" by Hurricane Dennis.
12/9
Trey Wright returned to Knoxville to give his last talk of this year, "Muddy
Waters."

12/16
"Time Enough To Live" was the name
of Paul's talk. Says Paul, "Time is fixed, but the way I use it is
not. I have as much time every day as anyone who ever lived, and no one
will ever have more time than me. That means that I have all the time I
need to do all the things that are important to me, and all the time I need
to create the kind of life I want to live."
Music"All Day Long" and "Any Day" by Nick Boulet.
12/23 "Living a Grateful Life" is the name of Paul's talk." Says Paul, "Gratitude is just as important as love, because gratitude is a loving attitude that recognizes when love has been given or received. I am grateful for every part of life because every part of my Life is a gift. Everything in my life is a lesson, and it is in accepting and learning these lessons that I grow."
Music: "What Child is This?" & "Hammer" Both arranged and performed by Laura Davis.
